Manitou Springs Incline




That was aggressive for six months of walking around Europe as my workout routine and zero consistent cardio to speak of....

The Incline is a popular hiking trail in Manitou Springs, a former incline railway whose tracks washed out during a rockslide in 1990. It’s popular with locals as an intense fitness challenge with an incline gain of over 2,000 feet in less than a mile.

There's nothing that says welcome back to Colorado than oxygen being sucked out of your lungs for an hour and a half.

At the bottom of the incline. The summit you see is a false one. As one 7 year old told us,
"don't get your hopes up."

Ok... there's the real summit. 
Booya. 2700 stairs and 90 minutes later, we made it! .... now we have to get down.
Celebratory mimosa... duh. 

Me: Mom would you ever do that again?
Mom: Nope. I did it once, I can say I did it and now I don't ever have to do it again.
Mom: Would you?
Me: I would go up it again.... if someone brought me down. Which isn't a thing, so....
