K-Town Saturday Ramblings

View of Pikes Peak on my way to the airport. I don't hate it.

I’m back in Germany after a month visiting friends and family in Colorado.  That month flew by, but I’m thankful for every minute of it. I jam packed those 30 days, sometimes scheduling down to the hour in order to see and do everything.

Going home really put things in perspective for me. It showed me just how strong my relationships are. That I can go 6 months to a year without seeing someone, but once we’re back together it’s like no time has past. That feeling is really what friendship is all about.

Despite the dreary winter of Germany making me horribly unproductive, I’m happy to be back. Wednesday I caught up with The German-American Women’s Group heading up the English Conversation Group and next week I’ll get back in the grove with The American Red Cross and Stars and Stripes. Plus, Dan and I are in Prague right this second.

I’m so thankful everyday for this amazing life I have. I’m also thankful for my friends and family and for Dan, knowing that a road trip to the Czech Republic for a couple days was exactly what I would need to cure my holiday blues.

Shock, out.
