Eat CS: Odyssey Gastropub

Odyssey is brand new to Colorado Springs- their website is still under construction. If you know Colorado Springs, it took over the old Tony’s spot (they moved across the street.)

It’s a narrow restaurant with an elegant but modest feel. I love the exposed brick, and their tables were adorned with maps.

Whoever designed the menu really loves them some bacon. There is a “bacon sampler” on the menu with bacon- 4 ways! (We ordered a snack size of the candied bacon, which was delicious… because bacon always is and when you cover it in brown sugar, even better.)

Their menu is awesome- one of the first times in a while I’ve had trouble deciding what to get. I settled on the Greek Chicken Pita- which was decent but wish I would’ve gone for the Mahi Mahi Street Tacos.

Both Dan and my Dad got the Chicken and Waffles- which I tried to convince them to eat together. They both agreed that there were “too many flavors happening” and chose to eat them separately. #BesidesThePoint

Beyond the food, they have a great beer and wine list and the service was friendly and fast. Definitely would recommend trying this spot. Will probably try it again later this week at a Young Professionals event.
