Boating on Horsetooth Reservoir

For labor day weekend, Dan and I went to visit our friends in Fort Collins. It also happened to be TOUR DE FAT. If you don't know what that is, you're probably not my friend.

Just kidding, kind of. Tour de Fat was started by New Belgium Brewery (which is based out of Fort Collins). It's a traveling celebration of all things bicycle. It started as a way to increase awareness and participation in cycling as a form of transportation. It's grown considerably throughout the country.

It starts with a costumed bike parade through the host city and ends with an all day party with New Belgium beers and shenanigans. So obviously it's our jam.

Saturday we dressed like <below> and had a great time. I realized I'm surprisingly really into ridiculous mustaches. But then again, I love hipsters so it's really not surprising at all.

On Sunday, we decided to head to Horsetooth with friends and a boat. And beers, which I will always now refer to as Cold Snacks thanks to Montana's official unofficial beer, Montucky.

Horsetooth is a large reservoir just west of Fort Collins and super beautiful. We spent the afternoon speed boating, lounging, cold snacking, and teaching Dan how to use his life vest to float- since, as you found out like I did in California, he can't swim.

We were able to head back to our campus to check out all the updates and to selfie of course...
